Logo and Way finding
for a Baltimore Landmark
The Waverly Town Hall has been a cornerstone of civic life since 1873—once a bustling post office, business hub, and meeting place for the city’s political and social circles. Its history as a center for commerce and community engagement inspired our modern and playful approach to developing a new visual identity and wayfinding system.
I created a bold, contemporary logo paired with a flexible signage suite that nods to the building’s Classical Revival architecture and storied role in Baltimore’s history. The design draws on its legacy as a gathering space along York Road—once a major transportation corridor—by using vibrant color, approachable typography, and graphic cues that invite movement and connection.
The result is a refreshed identity that bridges past and present, giving this historic landmark a look that honors its roots while making it relevant, welcoming, and easy to navigate for today’s Waverly community.
